I believe that in order to be strong and optimistic you need to have regular deep belly laughter moments.
My mom, dad, brother, and I all do this thing where we laugh so hard that tears pour down our faces. It is funny when we all get together because when one of us starts to crack up, you can bet on it spreading to the rest of us. Laughter is very contagious.
I love it when that deep laughter happens. Stress and worry just fall right off of me.
Sometimes when I'm feeling exhausted or stressed, I find something funny to jump start the laughter. I love Lucy is one of my faves. Lucille Ball was an absolute comedic genius. She just cracks me up.
Sometimes the most spiritual thing I can do is watch I Love Lucy. I start to laugh so hard, and then I feel ready to face the next challenge in front of me.
Maybe you have a favorite comedian too. You might want to keep their content readily available.
A cheerful heart is good medicine. Prov. 17:22
This is not just a nice metaphor. Laughter gives you strength and stamina so that you can fulfill your destiny.
